Hello All!
I feel like such a stranger. There are so many new names and faces. It's great to see. Best of luck to all those who have a sugery date approaching and hang in there to all those that are in the recovery stage. I'm in between classes right now and school seems to be the only time I'm on the computer these days.
Life is wonderful!! That's not to say that each day doesn't have its challenges but I have experienced a rebirth filled with hope, happiness and lots of energy! I still struggle with food choices at times and portion sizes and getting on the treadmill often enough but... I am in a much better place than I was a year ago. At 326 pounds, type 1 diabetes, rheumatoid arthritis, and PCOS I had lost hope. It is now 10 months later and I am down 136 pounds, weighing 190. I still have a ways to go but I am no longer the person who had given up on everything.
Best of luck to everyone.
Carolyn
Carolyn,
Let me first congratulate you on the tremendous weight loss! You are an inspiration to me. I'm 2 months post-op, so it's nice to hear from the veterans on here. I, too, have rheumatoid arthritis, and it is in my ankles/feet, so walking is very difficult. Although it has eased up a tad, I still get horrible pain, especally after exercise/walking.
I wanted to welcome you back to the boards and thank you for inspiring me and I'm sure a lot of others.
God Bless.
JA
