Hi All -
I don't have a lot of time (any really)! I just wanted to quickly check in and share some photos of the arrival of my beautiful little girl! She is doing GREAT! Very healthy and an insatiable appetite - especially at night......... She nureses like a pro and thankfully my supply seems to be up to meeting her demands so far. Nathan is getting along really well and has accepted the change very well - I "caught" him kissing her before he went to bed last night - he didn't know I had come into the room and he was standing over the bassinette talking to her and then he leaned in and gave her a kiss - it was so sweet!
I am exhausted - but that's to be expected - I actually got TWO - 2 hour stretches of sleep last night and that made a big differnce!
ON the way to the hospital (38 weeks and 2 days - can you tell there is almost an 8 pounder in there? Notice the wipes on the windowsill? )
WElcome to the world Sarah Alyson!!

Thanks Marlena - Nathan is amazing in accepting a new little person in the family - he wants to hug and kiss her constantly - it's too cute - yesterday he was sitting and holding her singing rock a bye baby - I wish I had gotten the video camera out for that one...........I am totally enjoying my maternity leave - taking advantage of down time and spending lots of time just holding my little princess.
Oh Tammy,..... What a beautiful family you have. Your new daughter is just darling. It is good to hear you are all well. I hope your experience at HH went well and you were satisfied with your care. Do you remeber the name of any of the nurses that took care of you? Just wondering if there was anyone I used to work with.
Well, get as much rest as you can and enjoy your new addition.
Sher
Thanks Sher!
The care at HH was the BEST - the nursing staff is top of the line as far as I'm concerned - what a great crew they have in L&D!! I had Michelle Holdmeyer who cared for me 5 years ago when Nathan was born - she is wonderful!! The other nurses I can remember are Amanda, Laurie and Sandra - all first class! Even the PCA's were attentive and caring - I only have good things to say about that hospital - it by far surpasses my experience when I had my lap band at St. Francis - I was only there one night and couldn't wait to get out of that place - I had to beg for my pain meds - at Hartford Hospital I was there for 4 days and never once had to ask for my pain meds - the nurses just came and gave them to me.........
Anyway - Thanks for the congratulations - I'm totally enjoying my little girl!
