HOW DO YOU GET RID OF WATER WEIGHT GAIN & SWEELING ?

HI OVER THIS PAST WEEKEND I HAVE GAINED OVER 5OR MORE LBS OF WATER WEIGHT AND I DON'T KNOW WHY? I ALSO HAVE SWEELING OF MY ANKLES, FEET, KNEES I CAN FEEL THE SWELLING MY LEGS FEEL SO HEAVY AND I DON'T WHAT TO DO? HAS ANYONE HAD THIS PROBLEM IN THE PAST OR PRESENT I'M TRYING TO LOSE MY LAST BIT OF 60LBS BUT I KEEP GOING UP AND DOWN THE SCALE, AS TO ALSO MY APPETITE CHANGES , TASTE BUDS GET CRAZY AT TIMES, I CRAVE I EAT OR TASTE AND THAT'T IT NO MORE FOR ME I OFTEN FIND MYSELF HAVEING A COCTAIL WHEN I GET DEPRESSED AND THEREFORE I DON'T EAT ANYTHING BECAUSE I'M NOT HUNGRY I TIRED OF THIS WEIGHT I WANT TO GET RID OF IT FOR EVER...... I'M TIRED OF STRUGGLIN G WITH THIS. I'M DISSAPOINTED WITH MY BODY HOW IT LOOKS, MY BAT ARMS MY STOMACH IS FLAT ON THE BOTTOM ALMOST BUT I BEGINNING TO DEVOLOPE A LITTLE TUMMY ON THE TOP I DON'T UNDERSTAND? ONE MIN IT'S SMALLER AND THEN THE NEXT I'M BLOATED..... VERY DISGUSTED........ I NEED SOME SERIOUS HELP AND SUPPORT

I am sorry to hear you are having problems. It sounds like you need to talk with a professional. It concerns me that you talk about having a ****tail when you get depresed. That is not a solution to your problem and could contribute to weight gain, never mind becoming a real problem for you. Have you heard that some post ops can have cross over addictions which they use to cope with problems they may have.

I hope that you talk with your surgeon or your PCP or other professional to get some help.

You can get back on track with some help. You need to take care of yourself.

Have you tried to increase your water intake, decrease your sodium intake and get more exercise???   You need to change things around in order for change to happen. Write everything down that you eat and drink and keep track of how much sodium you are taking in.  That may cause the bloating. If taking some steps yourself doesn't help, then, I'd say call your doctor and ask. Paula

hi pauls, thanks for the reply, i believe that your probably right i need to take in more water, i think that i have been consuming the correct amount and also i found myself indulging on some fried pork skins which contains alot of sodium, i have to figure out what kind of food to consume when i get that urge to crunch on something hard and salty i just said to myself that i'm going to come up with some type of tracking device/plan that i  will be able to keep track of how mater i intake for the day .if you have any suggestions feel free to share them with me.
