Dropped a quarter on the floor
At Walgreens the other day. As I bent down to pick it up I realized several things.
1. I was ABLE to bend down to pick it up.
2. I didn't let out an involuntary grunt as I bent down.
3. I wasn't worried about people looking at me as I bent down.
4. I didn't huff and puff after I bent over.
5. I didn't even MIND bending over.
Think I might drop money on the floor at every store I go to...just to celebrate being able to retrieve it easily!

60 lbs GONE!
Isnt' it wonderful???? I had this realization yesterday at the Big E when I had to tie my daughter's shoe. Usually, I would find a place for my kid to sit down and then have them lift their foot up so I could tie it. Well yesterday, I just bent down and tied it. It's really the small things that make such a difference in quality of life.
I'm with you Pam. Now that I can cross my legs like a lady - instead of sitting with them spread apart (flesh touching at the top), I buy only short skirts and dresses. Not minis by any means, but compared to the ones that used to drag on the floor, its quite an improvement!
I also only buy short shirts - I hate it when they are too long!
