Well I've hit another plateau! UGH....I'm only two months out and it's buggin' me that I keep hitting these stupid plateaus already. I'm down between 36 and 37 lbs, but the scale hasn't moved in a week. Plus I'm bummed because I don't have anything to wear that isn't swimming on me. I went shopping, and I can't find any pants that fit...either too big or too small. Ok enough of the venting...but just had to spill my guts. XO JA

JA, Be patient, I'm sure your plateau will end soon. As frustrating as it is, 37 lbs in 2 months is amazing! I hope that I will do that well! Hang in there, your loss will start again soon and you will be buying some smaller clothes before you know it. Good luck, Carmen

JA, Take heed..it will pass. Just review the basics. Are you getting in enough protein...(increase it anyway..it sure helps me when I do) Are you exercising? I felt thinner last week and the scale didn't budge..but I had taken two days off of my walking routine because of the family schedule. I hate to exercise....walking is still a struggle sometimes. I have been saying I am going to add some ankle weights but still haven't done it. Drinking water....this is what I am so bad at OK..before this turns into a ramble...what I mean to say it Hang in there!! Joanie

JA: Don't worry we all hit bumps along the way!!! When is the last time you lost 37 pounds? You are doing awesome!!! I know being inbetween sizes stinks but just think you don't need a bigger size RIGHT... The sizes will keep dropping. Try different designers. It is amasing the different cuts of the same size. Keep smiling things wont look so grey tomorrow. Chryssie

How can I help............? I know................... I will come and get the scale and take it away!!!!!! Everyone thinks they are the one on a million that will not lose weight and weigh themselved every day looking for a change. THROW OUT THE SCALE!!!!!!! You continue to prove one thing. No number had ever made you happy, and no number ever will. Be happy with how you feel, not a number. Peter

Hello JA, Plateau's are the worse thing in the world! BUT I realized when I wasn't losing weight I was losign inches, and really - I'd rather lose 4 inches a week (estimate) than 4 pounds a week. Honestly, who cares what we weight?? it the inches that matter. Then again, don't take advice from a daily scale-user -Deb

Hi Everyone I have finally hit a plateau! I was moving right along - 53 lbs. in 2 months and bam.... I have been at the same weight now for 6 days. I am not too bothered by it based on everything I have read from other members like you all. I tell myself I'm not even going to get on the scale anymore but I just can't resist. I am always struggling with getting enough protein so I think that may be part of the reason. I did start aerobics this weekend and figured with that I would drop a few pounds. I do know I am still dropping inches though from my clothes so I am still happy! Leslie

Couple of things... First, they recommend that you DO weigh yourself everyday! That way, you'll get to understand more about how your body weight goes up and down during the day, from day to day...and you won't panic when you step on the scale one day and see a two pound gain...that two pounds could be gone the next day (or even later in the SAME day). We need to learn as much as we can about our bodies normal rythyms and use the information to our benefit. When the scale goes up too high (more than two lbs) or for too long, I use that info to remind me to focus on protein first-increase the protein and focus on/increase the fluids. I'm still not getting enough fluids per day. I weigh myself every AM before I get dressed and I'm starting to learn. That said, the scale didn't move at all (except up a bit) last week-after two weeks of losing 3+ lbs per week. I think there was "something in the air" last week...seems lots of people were "stalled" for a while.

Isn't it frustrating!!! I was there for about 2.5 weeks. Didn't lose a darn oz! I chalked it up to not having a fill yet and that time of the month. I finally dropped like 7 pounds over the weekend! Whew! It was frustrating but I was sure doing the happy dance once I saw the scale moving again! Hang in there chickie! Eileen
