Home from the ER

Well I went to the ER, and it is so frustrating because they really don't pay attention or care what you say. I was told I have degenerative arthritis (not true, it is Rheumatoid and I told them that), and I "sprained" my knee (must have been in my sleep!). They did at least give me some liquid Vicoden for the pain, so I will take that in a couple minutes and hope it works! I will call tomorrow and make an appt with my PCP and hopefully he will draw off some fluid. As much as I hate it, it does help! Thanks, Carmen

Well Carmen, I'm glad you went even though it's sounds like you didn't get much help. I'm going to assume that you went to the local hospital. I have the same trouble every time I go to the ER as well. Hope you feel better soon. I'm sure the vicodin will help ease your pain until you can see your PCP. Maggie

Yes, I went to Backus. Both times I have been there before, it was pretty much the same, a diagnosis before the Dr comes in. The Vicodin does help, but puts me to sleep in no time. I will go see my PCP tomorrow, unless the swelling miraculously goes down, but at least I should get a decent nights rest . Carmen

I hope the Vicoden at least helped you get some rest last night and that your PCP will help you more than the ER did! Feel better. Eileen
