I had to. While it was definatley not a fun thing to do, it really wasn't horrible either. And it really doesn't take that long to do. In the long run it's really a small price to pay Good luck and try not to stress out over it too much! Eileen

Hi Beckie, Dr. Aranow has his patients do this if they get heart burn. It's really to your advantage, because the insurance companies count GERD as a co-morbidity. The test does not hurt at all, I had it a few weeks ago. It take about 1/2 hour and the worst part is the drink and crystals that you have to swallow, but they are not that yucckky that you even think about it afterwards. Good luck, Lori

I didn't have it, but if they told me I had to stand on my head for 24 hours I would have done it to have this surgery! Hang in there! Cheryl

No, not everyone has it. I had it though. It's not that bad. The stuff they make you drink is a little gross. You'll be fine! Lisa C
