Confused

I met with Diana Rosa the dietitian today...all was good She thinks I am a good candidate. Now all I have left is attending a support group meeting at St Rapheal's. My confusion ....I got my pre op appointment date today 10/27, but they have not submitted my paperwork to the insurance company yet. I'm not sure if I should be excited . Has anyone gotten a pre-op appointment without an approval??? Just wanted to know . FR

I don't know what doc you have, but I had all my appointments and THEN they sumitted my surgery info to the insurance. Good luck, Christine

Not sure who your Dr is, but I also met with Chris and Diana, so I think it should be about the same proccess. Diana probably gave you the protien diet, and when you go in after that and pass, insurance paperwork will be submitted. Hopefully you will have an answer before your pre-op appointment (which you have to pay for). Good Luck, Carmen

Hi. I have Dr Bell, and have my pre-op appt friday and my surgery date in 2 weeks, and I still haven't heard from my insurance, The Dr office said they will let me know if its denied. So until then, I am going along as scheduled! I figure getting it approved THEIR job : ) Robin R

Hi, I just wanted to add that I had Dr. Valin. The group meeting you're going to is your last one before surgery. Shortly after they submit to your insurance. They will let you know, one way or another the results. This meeting just means you're that much closer to a surgery date! (As long as insurance cooperates. Good luck! Michelle
