Happy Oct. 1st.......Weekend Roll Call :)
Oh Cheryl, I'm so sorry about your beloved pup. It's so sad to let them go. I will keep you in my prayers for your upcoming appointment with Dr. Reinhold. He did my friend Benji's surgery. He supposed to be the best. Keep your chin up. I hope you get relief from your pain somehow. Take care.

Hello all and Happy Friday. Just call me Fido because I am sick as a dog... I went to the Dr.'s today and I am having some major lung issues. He said it seems I have an upper respiratory infection. With a mix of other things. He gave me a Z-pack (antibiotics), prednisone, Advair and Bio Med which is a nebulizor treatment. I called Dr. Aranows office to schedule my follow up and to make sure all meds were ok and Lois said the first two meds are not good for my pouch. She was going to speak to the Dr and if he didn't want me to take them she would call me back. So far I haven't heard back so I guess I must endure the Dang Prednisone. It tastes so nasty crushed up. Yuck...
Oh well... On the bright side I got weighed today. I am down a total of 62 lbs. Weighed in at 308. I am so excited. So my weekend will consist of laying low taking my meds like a good girl and drinking plenty of fluids It's rpobably for the best. I was scheduled to volunteer at the Apple Fritter Booth at the Apple Festival in SOuthington and it would have been such torture.
Linda, Cancun? I am also a jealous one. Enjoy. I've never been anywhere tropical. It's the one thing I am looking forward to as a gift to myself after I lose most of my weight.
Maggie, I'll be sending prayers your way that you get this job. I got my fingers and toes crossed for you too..
Robin, I agree with everyone. You do not look old enough to have grand babies. You have some very good genes.
Deb, Lisa C. Where are you today? Miss you guys and can't wait to see you again.

Hello All
I am one week post op today...I still can't believe it. the worst part is
crushing all my meds..uck uck uck. Today was my first shopping trip to
price chopper...stocked up on my soups, yogurt, jello and ice pops,
reading your posts is so inspiring...I will keep eating my crappy jello
and sipping my crappy soup because I want to go to the big E and buy
smaller clothes and go on vacation. All the things you share shore up
my reslove and help me so much,
I have been very lucky post op.....no pain no gas just fatique and as
I lose weight I look forward to more energy. Monday is my post-op
visit with Dr, Aranow and I hope I will not need oxygen any more,
Tomorrow is the last day I have to have the anti-clotting shots.
the future is looking bright
Happy weekend
angel
Hello All,
It's so great to read these posts! Linda, you are soooo lucky! Get those bathing suits packed and don't look back! To hell with the legs!!! You look great!
I'm plugging along. Trying to exercise more so I can lose more. I returned to my 2nd job last week, and it's kickin' my butt. I work tomorrow, and I will have Sunday off. Gonna do some house cleaning and try to get my pool covered finally!
I did a little shopping and I'm down to a regular XL in tops and knit pants are a regular XO too!! WOO HOO....Boy do I need clothes! People at work are starting to notice the loss. It's awkward, because I have only shared the fact that I had WL surgery with a few close friends at work. I tend to be a private person, and I am not sure I'll ever come clean.
Enjoy the weekend all, and for those of you who attend Dr. Bell's support group, see you on Tuesday!

What great plans you all have for the weekend and so much good news too! Robin, congrats on the news of your 1st grandbaby on the way! I love all the new pictures of people too.
All this talk of fairs makes me want to go --- perhaps we will try the Berlin Fair... I have always heard so much about it and it sounds like nice weather tomorrow.
I am really starting to enjoy the benefits of this surgery already! I feel like I am melting! LOL. I am very happy to be rid of the Ted socks and feeling very little pain at this point. I am very fortunate so far, no complications and I have tons of energy. I can't believe this soon after surgery of all the improvements I feel already. I had such pain in my knees before surgery. My feet and knees were so seized up everytime I would get up from a sitting position, I would have to stretch and limp for a few steps before I could walk properly. Now, after surgery, I swear --- 0 pain! I have asthma and if I wanted to take a walk before surgery, I would have to take my inhaler with me because any slight incline would set my asthma off. Now I can walk up the hill on my road and complete my full walk and never use my inhaler.
Feeling good and going to enjoy the nice fall weather this weekend. Hope eveyone enjoys their weekends too!
Terri
Hello Everyone!
I have'nt been on in so long that I have to catch up with everyone. First of all Linda- I am so happy for you about going to Cancun! What an awesome 1 year gift to yourself. You surely did earn it! I don't know what is worse, my bat wings or your sharpei legs...LOL , but as long as we are happy and healthy who cares right? You still look marvelous!
Well, this week I had some major life changes happen again that is why I have been so busy. If some of you don't know 10 days after my surgery I got a call from our adoption agency that they had a 5 month old baby boy for us. Well, it has been wonderul! We just got some more news this past Tuesday, we got another call and our son has a 3 month old brother and we were asked if we wanted him. SO I am going to be a mommy again! The boys are only 10 months apart so I will really get my excercise now! So hubby and I will be busy getting our house ready and the boys new room put together. We are getting him towards the end of the month. Right now he is in a foster home. We are so happy! Now everyone is saying that I'll end up getting preganant but Hey that's ok, we will just be the Brady Bunch
Cheryl- I am so sorry about your lab! Beleive me I know how hard it is. In my life I had to put down 2 black labs and we now have a yellow lab who is 5, they are such loyal, faithful, loving companions who are like family members! I am sorry! At least she will be in a better place now and won't have to suffer.
Well, that is about it for now, I am at a loss of 108 pounds and have been on my first plateau for 2 weeks.
I am in a size 18 now, from a size 28/30. I would love to fit into a size 10! I will get there eventually! My hubby is also doing awesome, he is down 92 since May21st. He was in a 52 pants and is now a 38 waist, and he was an XXXL shirt and is now a large. We both looks so different , it is amazing and we both feel wonderful and are very happy! To all of you out there that are just beginning, and have had it done GOOD LUCK on your journeys!
God Bless!
MaryJo
P.S.- I forgot to tell you one of the best parts, I gave 2 week notice at work becuase I am going to be a stay at home mommy for now until the babies are old enough to go to school full-time! YEAHHHHHHH!
Mary Jo,
You ROCK Girlfriend!! . Talk about major life changes....wow!! I am so happy for you guys and so proud of both of you. Maybe one of these days we will actually get to meet in person and I know we won't recognize each other....... Congrats on the terrific weight loss and mucho congrats on the adoption news. You must be thrilled. Please check in with us once in a while so we know you are alive and well. Give those babies a great big kiss from me.
Linda
OMG! Mary Jo, could that really be you??? I cannot get over the total transformation in how you look. Are you feeling well??
thank you for your kind words about our Lab. We miss her so much. It's all the little things, coming down in the morning and not seeing her for an ear rub or hear that tail going.
You really look so completely different, I didn't recognize you, keep up the good work.
Take good care,
Cheryl
