OT: Vioxx
For those of yous on Vioxx I just saw this article and thought you might want to read it. It has been pulled from the market because of it causing a higher risk of heart attacks.

Hi all,
I read that article and I am not taking my pills anymore. I can't believe it!! I only been on them for two weeks and that is it for me. I have lots of pain in my knee, had to get it drain and so on.... I am hoping that after my surgery my knee will feel better, since I will be on the loser side. Thanks
I was on vioxx too, up until 2 weeks ago. Boy am I glad I stopped, even though I had only been on it for a couple of weeks (switched from celebrex). I know all about the knee pain! That is why I had this surgery!!! I am 1 week out today, no meds in 2 weeks and although there is a little stiffness, the pain level has decreased sooo much, I am amazed. The only thing I am taking now is plain tylenol, mostly at night so I sleep a little more comfortably.
Good luck!
Carmen
Dear heidi
Thanks for the info on the Vioxx article. I have been on Vioxx for over 3 years!! I still took it after my surgery because I had knee surgery 3 years ago and I although the tear was repaired, I was told that I have lots of arthritis in both knees, The surgery for my weight has helped me move a lot better, But I still have achy knees so I was told to continue the vioxx. This is soo frusterating because I am trying to get healthy and then the one thing that helps to lube up the joints is now bad for you. I am not gioing to take anything unless it is really bad pain. I swear whats next??
