Day 1 but no approval yet.

Today is supposed to be Day 1 of my Pre-Op diet. I am going to do it, but it's frustrating that I could be doing all of this for nothing. I hate being down to the wire and still now knowing. Especially since I have to rely on my co-morbidities to convince them, because I am less that 40 BMI. Oh well, here it goes. Keep my in your thoughts/prayers please.

Try not to worry too much - I didn't get my approval until several days into the liquid diet.  Andrea will be on top of it  :-)  I called my ins. co twice a day, every day to follow up.  Good luck.

Well I got denied, Andrea said Dr Raft will have a peer to peer conversation today and hopefully he can get it turned around. :(

GRRRRRRRRRR Good luck on the appeal! That is one reason I decided to work with Dr. A. to make insurances pass everyone that qualifies.

I got denied too...and I had congestive heart failure at 42 years of age...but my BMI was up there!  after a lot of conversations and appeals, I was approved finally....and now I am  healthier than I have been in YEARS..the insurance company made the right decision! I will keep you in my thoughts and prayers! blessings, Jennifer
