Hi Folks, I am asking for a friend about gym's in the New London Area. She is looking for something that is appropriate for post ops and I think she might also be interested in a pool. Sooooo for all of you in that area if you could share info with us it would be greatly appreciated Need locations, type of gym and prices if you know it. Thanks soooo much. Linda

There are Curves in East Lyme, Waterford, Mystic, Groton, Ledyard and just about all have pools at the High Schools which you can swim for free, The times all vary so you would have to call Parks and Recreation for each town to find out the Pool times. Other than that, there are the regular gyms (Work Out World in New London and Wateford is the most popular), but again they do not have pools. We live in the backwards end of the state - have to travel to find shoes that fit me (61/2 wide - wides start at size 7 at all major stores!!) Good Luck and I hope she finds something, Nancy
