Becky -- All of these feelings are soooooooo normal!! We have all leaned on food for comfort, etc.; that's what's gotten us to this place! So to feel anxiety that you'll lack willpower (a horrible word!) is normal again. The truth is, after surgery, and for a nice long period after, your feelings about food will change drastically. You won't feel those cravings that you do now. It's weird how it changes your body chemistry. You're going to do just fine. I'll be putting in all my prayers for you. XOXOXOXOXO Kathy F.

As difficult as it is, the best thing you can do is try not to worry. Keep yourself busy w/ housework (so everything will be perfect when you get home), go shopping and make sure you everything you need for when you get home. Pack your bag, then take everything out except what you want to wear home (I din't touch anything!). Go to your favorite place to buy clothes (NOT LANE BRYANT) and look through the smaller sections, and just think, you will be buying that before you know it! You have done you research and have thought this through. Trust your decision! I am only 5 days out, and though the most exciting thing I have eaten was cream of chicken soup, I know I made the right decision. I had second thoughts too, and even more the day after surgery, but it will pass, you will start feeling healthier (my knee pain is so much better, I could barely walk a week ago!). Right now, I just want to get out of the house, because I have more energy and less pain than just a week ago! Sorry for rambling, but hang in there and trust your decision. Think about the future (being 40-50lbs thinner for the holidays!). This is an exciting time in your life and you will do great!!!! Carmen
