I have a date with the surgeon!!

Well, it took a few weeks after my clearance by Nutrition, but I now have a date with Dr. Barba. December 10th. Very excited, seems a little more like it will really happen now. My fingers are crossed and my hopes are up....It's been a while, I hope everyone is doing okay. I've been pretty busy lately and haven't been lurking the boards.......Jen

Do you have a date for surgery with him 12/10 or your first meeting with him? I have Barba too. My meeting with him is 11/16

First appointment. The only further thing I think he'll need is a cardiology consult (I've had issues in the past with chest pain) but my cardiologist is ready for that one. Have you been at any of his lap-band support group meetings? I missed this last one but I was at the one before. I find them helpful. How's the preop weight loss coming? I have actually lost about 26 pounds since starting this (not a big hero, I have a lot of stress and even though I usually gain with stress, I am separated from my husband and it's a whole new ball game.) Coming in handy though since you can't gain weight before surgery.....Good luck on the 16th, maybe I'll bump into you sometime.......................................Jen

I have not been to any meetings for Barba. I have no idea where or when the support group meet. Is there a separate group for lap band? and when do they meet
