Hi, Kathy! Thanks for the birthday wishes. Well, it's after midnight now, so my birthday's over and you only have 20 days left till surgery! I know you said that you'll be in ICU your first night. I called Dr. A and he said it would probably be okay to fast as long as I drank a lot right before and after the fast. I posted the question to the main board and I got about 4 or 5 responses of people who had asked their docs and they all said not to fast. So I decided not to fast. Eileen
