Hi Matt,  Congrats on your approval.!!! As I was reading your post, I knew you would get it. You were very determined.  It will all be over before you know it and you will be a LOSER like the rest of us!! Dr.Barba is awesome. You are in good hands.  I did the same thing and had my last steak before my liquid part. I couldn't eat steak for almost a year after. But now it is all good. Steak is still my favorite. Your taste will change several times after your surgery. So have fun with it and experimint. I did. I found out I liked broccoli, which I never ever would of put in my mouth before. Ha Ha.   Good Luck!!!! The clock is ticking. The best, Hugs,  Sarah

CONGRATULATIONS MATT!!!  I had lap RNY surgery at St. Francis...Dr. Barba was my Dr.  he did a FABULOUS job...and I had outstanding nurses on the 6th floor....I cannot say enough about the wonderful nurses....I had complications but the staff was so understanding....they really had to put up with alot with this patient!!  Good luck my friend.....the first month and a half or so are a bit rough....BUT soon after you will be asking yourself why you didn't do this sooner.  IF you have any questions whatsoever, please don't hesitate to pm me....
