GUESS WHAT

After hours on the phone with Aetna, my surgeon's office called me today and I was APPROVED!!! They changed my hospital to ST. Francis in Hartford and I got a real approval on paper!  I go in two weeks from today (4/16) for RNY. I got the call today after I had begun to lose hope and they said, "by the way....you need to start a liquid diet tonight." It got real very fast when they said that! So I went to Outback and had my last steak for a long time and I'm ready to go!!! woohoooooo!

Matt, good luck.  that is great news.  Don't worry, it won't be your last steak in a long time.  I had steak from Outback a few months after.  The filet is nice and soft.  I only ate a little and then had like two leaves of lettuce from my salad.  But now I can eat the whole thing if I really wanted to. Enjoy the journey and follow all the rules.  Use your time wisely.  Get the most out of the first year. Some people don't use the first year to it's fullest and then the window closes and they wish they did.  Don't do that. It's a great ride.  I'm so happy for you.

Excellent - congratulations...I was wondering about you today!  Glad to hear that everything is coming together for you!

Congrats!!! You would have been there around the same time as me but I had to move my date. I went from the 15th to the 22nd. But then again it could very well get moved again if I don't get approved!!
