Oh Kathy, Seeing the kids after one whole week was a great feeling. Abby kept touching me and making sure I was still me. She has been playing doctor making my incision feel better by patting it. I stood Ava on the couch so I could hug her and she just sunk her little head into my shoulder and wouldn't let go. This whole thing must have been so confusing to her as she has only been with us for 3 months. I think she must have thought I was leaving her, poor baby. She was back to her happy self this morning though. Jack packed them all up this morning and brought them to school/daycare which is nice because there is no way I could care for them by myself right now. So things are getting back to normal on the homefront slowly but surely. I am amazed at how good I feel and how much energy I have. I really expected to be more tired and in need of pain meds at this point, but I don't even take them anymore during the day, just at night now. 21 days for you ---- Wahoo! Terri

Hey Kathy! Only a few weeks to go! I wore the binder under my johnny at the hospital. Because of complications I ended up wearing a binder for 3 months!! My skin is super-sensitive but I really didn't have any problems with the binder, other than praying for the day when I didn't have to wear it anymore! The funny thing was, once I stopped wearing it, I missed the support a little bit. I'm just weird though! Kathy F.

Hi Kathy, I didn't wasn't even aware that you had a date!!!!! I must have missed that post. Congrats. I forgot to bring the t-shirt to the hospital but I remember at the nurse's seminar that they have for the pre-op's they mentioned bringing a shirt to wear under the binder. When I first got home I used one of my husband's tank type undershirts under the binder and my pajama's. Then since I was mostly staying home I just wore it over my nightgown. It really helped me to have that extra layer between me and the binder. You will know when it's time to give up the binder. At first I thought it was a pain in the neck but then I found out how much better I felt with it on! It really helps to hold it all together and sleeping is SO much better with it on.

Hi Kathy, I wore my binder under my johnny at first but found it was so much more comfortable with a t-shirt under it. I'm sitting here at home with it over a big t-shirt. Bring one just in case and if you don't need it you won't wear it.
