Hello Everyone I apologize for being a lazy slug and not letting everyone know I am home. It is 1 week today I had my innards sliced and diced and everything went ok. Debby (aka half of the Yenta squad) and my friend George were with with me. The operation only took an hour and Dr Aranow said it was a breeze thanks to the weight I lost pre-op.Re-coop time so far has been trial and error. Mr. Pouch can be tempermental at times. Right now it looks like I may have an infection at the bottom of my incision. I will call Lois tomorrow and see what she says. I cheated and got on the scale today.....I am down 21 pounds since surgery! I am still not sure about returning to work though, I get wiped out after 2 or 3 hours, must be all the 390 calories I'm consuming each day. I'm having no problem getting in my protein, its trying to get all the water in. Today I found out what dehydration feels like. Just like when my sugar crashes. Not fun, 8 oz of water later I was fine. My sincerest thanks to everyone for their prayers and thoughts and emails.

Glad to hear you are doing well - with a support committee called the yenta squad you have no choice but to heal and do it quickly!

Being wiped out is normal - some people get their energy back sooner then others - sounds like you're doing everything you can to get in the protein and water - keep up the great work

Congratulations!!
Warm Regards - Tammy -

Congratulations Rich! Glad to hear you are doing good. The feeling wiped out so easily and quickly is very very normal...  it took me a while before I felt more energy and some days are better than others with me.
