Support Group

Hi All! I've been submerging myself in work, school, family to try to be so busy that I can't think about the waiting game. I went for my consult with Dr Aranow on Friday, and now have my list of things to do - psych eval, nutritionist, endoscopy (yuck!), quit smoking, lose weight, and go to support sessions. On the sheet he handed out, it said that support groups were the 2nd and 5th Monday of the month. But then I see that there's a support group next Monday? Does that mean that if there's no 5th of the month, it gets moved to the 4th of the month? You all continue to be a huge inspiration to me - as I read the posts, I see what a wonderful group this is. Not sure I can answer your question--I always had to call to figure out "which week it was". This is a wonderful group...looking forward to you becoming an active member. Joanie

Hi Wendy I will be at Middlesex Hosptial for support group this monday coming at 700 to 8oopm . There will be panel of post op people to share their story about this surgery. Hope we can see you there! Kathy K

Life sure was easier 300 patients ago... The support meetings are as follows.... 1st Monday... pre-op only. Information while waiting for surgery date. Think of it as a refresher and primer for a new life. 1st Tuersday.... Post-ops only. 2nd and 3rd Mondays... pre and post ops. Support team centered question and answer. 4th ( and 5th is there is one) Monday(s)... Post-op managed. Expreriences of 2 or so patients, anlong with questions and answers. Peter
