TENTATIVE SURGERY DATE

Hi Everybody, I found out about my tentative surgery date yesterday late afternoon but I did not have time to type this message because I was out with my friend Lauren then went to support group last night. I saw Terri and Claudia who are going to have surgery today with Dr Aranow. I wished them good luck and gave them big hugs there. I found out there are two people from support group have same surgery date as mine. Lois called me and asked me if I can go for Oct 5th but I said no because Dr Aranow will leave on Oct 8th for his vacation for a week but I am fraid something will happenwhile I am at home when he is on vacation..... ME WORRYWART!!!! Dr Aranow will be back to work on Oct 18th from his vacation so I picked Oct 18th to have this surgery. I have to go shopping to buy things to stock up, B-12, Flinstones complete multivitamin, etc..... FINALLY THE WAITING IS OVER!!!!!!!!! Thank you for your supports while I am waiting for this date in the past!!!! Hugs Kathy K LISA C.....Finally it is here!!!! OCT 18th..... need more advices before I will head up to go hospital.... I will email you to give you my sister in law (Jean)s cell phone after I will ask her cell phone number today. Thank you for being a great angel to me.... I hope I can be great angel to other people in the future and can help other people who are pre-op. Robin........ Can't you beleive this.... We have same surgery date!!!!!!! God will watch both of us on that date I will thinking of you while I am at hospital. I am sure your wonderful angel, Linda, will visit you at hospital and will give you advices there and we will get together after surgery and walk together to excerise while I will be home for 4 weeks from work. Lauren.... It wasa GREAT to meet you last night. I felt I know you for many years. I am looking forward our next date. Don t worry about your sister we all here support you and will being there for you all the way and after surgery too. Hugs Kathy My husband is little nervous now . I guess he is not prepared for this... in his mind he is afraid to lose me but I told him I feel very confient in Dr Aranow's hands and he promised my son that he will take good care of me while I am in hosptial. SMILE! I know God is with me all the way. Any advices for me to bring things at hosptial ..... thanks

Kathy, I am so happy you finally got your date. You have been waiting for so long and now the wait is just about over, the end is in sight - or I should say the "beginning" is in sight. I think that is a good decision about waiting until the Dr is back from vacation. It is one less thing for you to worry about. As far as what to bring to the hospital, the most important thing I brought was my chapstick, and my makeup The chapstick was great the first day when you can't drink anything, it really helped. And the makeup I put on the day after surgery and it made me feel more human when people visited. That's just me, I love my makeup. Congratulations on getting your date! October 18th will be here in no time! Anne

CONGRATS!!!!! My thoughts will be with you! Once you have the date the time seems to go by sooo slowly! My surgery is 10/1 and it seems like it's ages from now!!!! Best of luck!

Congratulations Kathy I am sooo happy that you finally have a date. You have been a great support to many many people here on this board and now it is time for you to shine. Kathy- Great News!! I know lots of great people with birthdays on Oct 18...now it will be your Birthday too (well, sort of). You've been so patients, can't wait until you are sitting beside us on the losers bench. You are so prepared for this surgery..I can tell from your posts. Chapstick IS a great thing to have...I brought one..but Middlesex gave me a great lip balm too. I brought new jamies and robe..which I never wore. Lots of clean undies...was a plus...especially before they let you take a bath on day 3. Wear that binder...when you get home. You might want to bring a smal pillow with you for extra support.
