Rain, Rain .. go away....

I didnt make it to the obesity walk today and I am feeling pretty bad about it, hopefully it was postponed...??? It was like a hurricane when I woke up this morning!!!!! Well, hopefully everyone will enjoy their weekend regardless of the rain. =0) Beckie

Hey Beckie - I didn't make it either. I have 3 kids and couldn't bring them out in this kind of weather!! So, you are not alone!

I didn't go either...not for lack of trying...I argued with DH about it for HOURS...starting at about midnight last night...I was going "no matter what...come hell or *high water*" in the end, common sense won out...I am praying that it was post-poned but have heard nothing from anyone who actually did go...I am so bummed out about it. I was really looking forward to it. Being 3 years out, I have lost touch with many of the people that I went to the other side with..we all just kind of got busy with our lives and lost touch. So, again I put this plea out there...did anyone go...or was it postponed?? Have a Sparkling (albeit cold and wet) Day!! ~CAE~

A friend of mine went and it was still held... rain or not. Sorry I missed it. next time we will be there with bells on, right??

Jesse Moore posted about it on Sunday A.M. that it was held and despite the weather it was successful. The original route was not followed for safety reasons...but there were people walking. I already emailed her as they are already discussing next years walk...and I will be there with my bells on...and I told Jesse that I would be interested in the planning stages of it...we need to get the word out there earlier and get more people involved.
