Home and Resting
Hi all
First of all I want to thank everyone for all of their prayers and well wishes. They worked.
All of my heart tests came back negative. I now just have a sprained back due to the treadmill stress test they tried to have me do. They are keeping me pretty drugged up so I don't have too much pain.
The hardest part about being in the hospital was the menu choices. When you go to a cardiac floor, you automatically get placed on the heart diet. Well, this is not really suitable for bariatric patients. I had to consult with the nutritionist to get her to change my diet. In the meantime, Mike did a great job of bringing me acceptable things from home.
All in all I'm glad that experience is over. It's good to be home in my own bed. I'm going to slowly catch up on posts.
I apologize for not being able to make the walk tomorrow. There is no way with my back that I would be able to stand for that long.
Hope you all have a great weekend. Thanks again for all your support. It made me feel so good to hear all of your replies. (Mike read them to me every night) What a wonderful group we have here.
Maggie
Hi Maggie,
So glad to hear you are doing ok and are home. I was quite worried and must have checked this post for an update at least 100 times today!
Have you had back problems in the past? Well now that I have heard from you I can rest a little easier now. Take care and keep us informed.
Love,
Sandy
Welcome Home Maggie!!
And I don't mean just to your house, I mean welcome home to your second family . We are all so glad that it was nothing to do with your heart and that you are home recuperating. Just take it easy for a while and slowly work back to your normal activity levels. Backs are very finicky as I am sure you know very well. Sorry you had to miss the walk this morning. I know you were looking foward to that. Just GET BETTER SOON!!!!
