I am now a  member of the century club! That's right I have loss 101 pounds from my high. I am shocked that I did it. I am also having issues but I am praying those will be revolved as time goes on. I can't eat meat. Well, I can eat pork but no beef or chicken. I have pulled stomach muscles and feel like crap. Right now, I am partially regretting this decision since I can't eat anything. I have been vomiting just about all the meat I eat. However, long term, I don't regret doing this. I miss being able to eat. I am not talking about having a HUGE meal with the family, just being able to eat without fear of vomiting.

I shall now be know as Hagatha: Queen of the queens.

Hi Kathy..CONGRATULATIONS!!!   Don't worry you will eventually be able to eat and give it a bit more time you will be so glad you went through with it.....I had HUGE regrets for the first three months...now I would do it again in a heartbeat!!

WE ARE PUT ON THIS EARTH NOT TO SEE THROUGH EACH OTHER...BUT TO SEE EACH OTHER THROUGH

"Life should NOT be a journey to the grave with the intention of arriving safely in an attractive and well preserved body, but rather to skid in sideways, chocolate in one
hand,  mudslide in the other, body thoroughly used up, totally worn out and

Outstanding Kathy - that is just wonderful - In the grand scheme 9 weeks is very "fresh" - you will be able to integrate more food into your life eventually - just give yourself time - it's like a tiny little baby tummy - 9 weeks is still an "infant"..........Until then, you have my empathy - it sucks to be fearful of vomitting when you eat - it's a horrible feeling and really puts regrets in your head.......it will get better - just take it one day at a time - you are on a great path and have done a wonderful job!
Warm Regards - Tammy -

Kathy,  I felt the same way, 5 months ago...and now sometimes I wish I still could not eat as much as I can....I had a horrible time with beef...and chicken...could not even eat a fork full of my favorite beef or chicken meals...and sometimes, even now I can get sick...but I can usually tell almost immediately if the meat has been prepared with too much fat...you will be able to eat more..which is not necessarily a good time...so just listen to the doctors and don't eat what doesn't feel right, I can honestly say, it usually is the last bite that I really did not need to take that makes me sick--but you will learn...Congratulations on the 100 pounds...you are doing GREAT! Congratulations! 9 weeks and 100 pounds lost is just fantastic.

Just as other posters have stated give your self  more time in regards to eating beef and chicken. In the beginning (where you are now) I too found myself unable to tolerate some meats. Are you able to eat fish? That is another option that has alot of protien and low fat and calories. ALso I found eating ground turkey or beef with a little added gravy helped, sometimes keeping the meats moist make them easier to tolerate. Just hang in there in time you will be able to tolerate many more things. Now at almost two years out I can tolerate most foods and sometimes I wish that I didn't.

All the best

Kathy! You continue to prove that with work... this can be a successful journey. BRAVO! I agree... your baby pouch is still very very new. Be gentle with it.      Meat...     how you cook it can make or break the eating experience.     how you eat it can as well.     Whatever  meat you choose to try, think about cooking or adding some soup (TJ's has some awesome butternut squash soup) to soften the meat.     chew, chew, chew... and eating alone does help.     small baby utensils work well too.  I still use them.     and if you are willing talk to  your body as you begin your meal. Ask it to accept what you are offering it. It's an ever learning journey... T.

Thanks everyone. I had some soup last night (Don't tell Liz) and I had 2 bites of the meat that was in it. I probably could have ate more but I was NOT going to pu**** I never thought of it as a baby before since it is 35 years old. It makes me think of eating in a whole new way and why I can't tolerate things. It's also good to know that I will be able to eat stuff eventually. I am living on soy nuts (yummy and 11 g. of protein for 1/4 cup) and string cheese. The stomach muscles are getting better (did I mentioned I pulled them ing?) so in a few weeks I will be at the gym, I hope.

Wow, Kathy, that is an amazing loss!  I am only a week ahead of you, so the only advice I have is to take it slow, slow slow.  We will be eating meals with our families soon enough, and the unpleasantness will be just  a distant memory....keep up the good work!
