My dream (literally)

So, this is day 2 of my 840 calorie a day diet. Let me tell ya, that is NOT a lot of food when you are preop. I made it thru yesterday but it was HARD. Taking it one minute at a time (I'm not ready for the one day at a time yet). Well, last night, I dreamed of food. I dreamed that I had my surgery and left the hospital. I stopped somewhere, ate FOUR brownies and kept wondering why my new pouch wasn't full. Someone then told me that if I hadn't had my surgery, I would have eaten FIVE brownes. What a difference! Talk about !!! I think I'm losing it!!! What a great forum to vent this craziness. I wonder how nuts I'm going to be AFTER the surgery??

That low calorie thing or no food other than protein before surgery is killer. I also had the food dreams preop. I can't remember exactly, but I know I was eating when I shouldn't have or eating way too much and nothing happened. This surgery is on our brains 100% of the time preop, so we're bound to have the freaky dreams. Just keep on pluggin' along. You'll get through it in no time and it will be a thing of the past. AND.. stay away from the brownies. Take care, Michelle

Hi Tammy, Good luck with your new diet. Don't slouch on the water though because that seems to make all the difference in the world. I laughed about the brownies dream! Enjoy your 840 cals because once you have the surgery you wont even want that many cals! Sandy

Well, consider yourself doing well, since you're only dreaming about the food while you're asleep! I think I'd be having food hallucinations while wide awake at 800 calories a day as a pre-op! Geez, I cried when my Dr. put me on a 1200 calorie a day diet. Yikes! Keep up the GREAT work! Lisa C

Hang in there Tammy, you can make it! I know I never wanted to look at broth again after five days of having it twice a day! But I made it, lost the weight, had the surgery and am dropping pounds like raindrops (I was going to say something else, but it's too gross! LOL!) Hey, after the surgery, just the thought of four brownies will make you puke! When I read your dream-I laughed, but felt slightly ill at the same time! Ann 314/262/150
