Our next get-together....

Hi folks. I'm so happy to have seen everyone and met some new folks and taken note of everyone's progress at our little get together in Middletown last weekend. You guys are such a great group of folks. It's a pleasure to spend time with you all. Someone noted that we didn't go around the room and 'say' anything, which would have been nice...I agree- we need to remember to do that next time. Which brings me to the reason for this post... Unfortunately, my friend won't be able to 'host' us the weekend before Thanksgiving. He's got a couple of major banquets going on in a hall, so he'll be too busy for private parties. (he's just a one man show, after all) It looks like they mostly booked up for the holiday season at this point. They do a very brisk office party business in that private room. So, I guess that Cantina is out of the running as a possibility. We're going to need new suggestions for how/when to get together. Ideally we're looking for a place with a private room of some sort that we can use. (anybody live in a condo and have a clubhouse?) Open to all suggestions.... ~lisa

Hi Lisa, To bad about the Cantina. Well, I have 2 options - but they are up here. One option is to use the church hall again. The other would be to go to Bugaboo Creek in Manchester - they let us eat whatever we want, including steak & salad from the kids menu ($5.99). They don't have a separate room - but they have different sections. Let me know if I can help. Kathy

Lisa, I email you privatetly about giving you phone number for my father in law, Nick Krewsky to see if he can get us to use Branford Yacht Club in Branford since there is noone using boats this Winter. He might know master deck who works there since he worked there for many years as master dec****il he retired.I think it is better for everybody to drive from this state. Kathy K

What about Ocean Beach Park in New London. The gal that runs the banquet hall their has also had WLS. Just a thought..... Also Mystic Aquarium which is right off the turnpike. Have a great day - smile Beth

I SECOND THE MYSTIC AQUARIUM.... OR THE SEAMAN'S INN WOULD LET YOU USE A PRIVATE ROOM (ALSO IN MYSTIC) GREAT FOOD!
