I've got a date!!
I met with Debby again today, she isso awesome.
As soon as I got there they said they had just finished faxing 76 pages to Cigna, changing to the bypass! My case worker had called them this morning to see when they were faxing stuff. I just spoke with the case worker, and I should know for sure (better be approved) by Tuesday. She will call me as soon as she has an answer.
Debby gave me a "note" to go get an ultrasound to check for gall stones. If I do have any, she will strongly recommend having an open procedure, so they can remove my gall bladder too! Since I am so small (how often have I heard that, lol) even with an open procedure, the incision would only be 4 inches... not bad!
Now for the dates:
9/17 - Ultrasound
9/23 - Pre-p work-up (
9/23 - Meet with the elusive Dr Valin!
9/30 - Endoscopy
10/5 - Start pre-op diet
AND.....................
10/11 SURGERY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
I can't wait, the next few weeks will be so busy!
Carmen,
Deb and the whole staff there are wonderful. Don't you love it when they refer to you as small? It blew my mind. I am so happy I went with Dr. Valin and would pick him again in a heartbeat. You're in good hands.
I live in Norwich to. If you need anything, please don't hesitate to email me. If you're in need of some sippy cups and baby spoons for post op, I'm happy to donate mine to you.
Congratulations
Maggie
