Revision

Hi my name is Melody.  I had an RNY done 11/99 at 272 lbs. I lost down to 166. Then started gaining. I am currently 243 lbs. I amlooking into a revision with either Dr Valin or Dr Bell. I have Anthem BCBS Lumenos , they told me it is excluded. could someone who has had either Dr or my insurance please contact me. I need to know if there is a way to get around this. I am desperate! Hi Melody -

Sorry you are going through this - from what I understand, your employer either decides to include or exclude bariatric surgery from the insurance policy they let their employees get - so the people you really need to talk to are the upper levels of benefits in your HR department.

I highly recommend Dr. Bell. I wouldnt recommend Dr. Valin to anyone on this forum or anywhere else.(Personal reasons I would rather not go into on a public forum)  Go see Dr. Bell, hes awesome.

Hi Melody. My name is Sylvia and I had Dr. Valin. We dont have the same insurance but just wanted you to know that I had no problems with Dr. Valin. I had the VBG done in November and I am currently around 80 pounds lost. So good luck with your decision.
