Upper GI and Ultrasound

A question for Dr. Aranow's patients. The Upper Gi and gallbladder ultrasound: were they done in the office or was it done elsewhere. I forgot to ask(duh) and I do not want to bother Lois. If anyone knows it will be very helpful.

He does the u/s in office, I believe...I know his u/s tech. The GI would have to be done at a Radiology office or the hospital. Joanie

LaToya, I had both the upper gi and ultrasound done as an outpatient service right at Middlesex hosp. A friend of mine had hers done there also. So unless things have changed drastically in the past year I would say that the Hospital outpatient service will be calling you soon to schedule. Good Luck!! Elaine

This past summer Dr. A's office got u/s in. When he found out I was a tech on my pre op visit last January..he asked me to come and work for him..but its a haul from my house. I know the tech there...she does his abdomens and leg veins for another doc in the group. Joanie

Ok I was confused, the gallbladder ultrasound has already been scheduled with Malissa in Dr. Aranow's office but I am waiting for the radiology dept to call me to schedule upper gi and barium swallow. on an average how long did it take for them to call you to make appt

Hi Latoya, It will take up to 2 weeks for Tech will call you but if you do not hear from them after two weeks then call Lois at office to find out follow update. Kathy K

It took almost 3 weeks for the radiology department to call me.

Well shortly after I posted yesterday the radiology dept called me at work and my upper GI is next week. It only took them a week and a few days to call me so now all my appts are scheduled and I will be on my way to getting everything done.
