Are there any new folks attending the info session at St. Rapheal's on Wednesday? This is the first step for me. What should I expect? FR

Hi FR The first information seminar is very informative. You will get there and they will give you a packet of information regarding the surgery that you're interested in. The staff will explain everything to you and you will also see slides of the hospital floor you will be staying on. They will tell you what you can expect while you're in the hospital. It's a very informative session. You'll be glad you went. Dr. Valin will also come in and answer any questions. Please feel free to email me if you have any questions. Maggie

Hi F.R. I just recently went to the seminar it was very informative and comforting. I did not get to meet Dr. Valin though he was in surgery. But Debbie his wife and the rest of the staff was cool they give you a packet like Maggie said and they also explain and show you different diagrams of the different surgerys they have to offer. I felt really comfortable because when you look around the room everybody has one thing in common they are all overweightand seeking help with the same problem your having. But all in all from here the ball really gets rolling. You have to fill out this pink piece of paper asking some health questions and when you would like to have the surgery. You turn in the paper after the seminar and go home a wait for Debbie to call you. I waited approx.3 days she called me and we set a date for the 13th of Sept.you don't need to bring anything except yourself and someone for support that really helps you'll be alright. After attending the seminar I was really ready for this surgery. God bless
