I had bypass but I can tell you that you won't need much. Some jammies, shower supplies, robe & slippers, some books or puzzle books, magazines and things like that. You won't be there long, so you won't need to much. Good luck and best wishes as you join the losers side. Maggie

My suggestions are: 1. Something to read, because even a short stay can turn boring. 2. Something to wear on your feet. The bootie socks they gave me in the hospital were constantly falling off or turning around so the gripper side was up instead of facing the ground. Everything else was provided for me by the hospital: toothbrush and paste, soap, lotion, etc.

1. A back scratcher! It becomes an extended arm for reaching stuff on your table. Very hand item. 2. And a small pillow for coughing. You can press it against your belly to give you support. Towanda

Hi Linda, I brought everything everyone suggested and used nothing! I never felt well enough to get into my own pj's. I couldn't stay awake long enough to read. I never took a shower until I got home. The one thing I did use was my chapstick! That was a constant! Good luck to you ! Sandy

I, too, brought everything that was mentions and used nothing! I just wanted to be prepared. Middlesex even gave me lip balm! Bring it all anyway..its all a matter of personal preference. Joanie

I brought all that just in case, but have to admit that I used nothing. I was not up to reading and was only there for two days. The times I was coherrant I focused on walking. I guess what I'm trying to say is pack light. The chapstick is a life saver. You definetly want tha. Maggie
