Sunday-What are We Eating?
Hi gang, Round one of our neighborhood extravaganza is over. I cooked up a storm for breakfast for aobut 45 neighbors, but did not eat anything I made. One of our neighbors set up an omelet station with his camping stove and he made me a small egg/cheese/onion omelet, I ate about 1/3 of it and was full..also had my protein drink
A little while ago I had a protein bar...and before we leave to watch Lauryn cheer for the 11 yr old football team in town, I will have 1oz of deli chicken wrapped over string cheese.. Going to bring my water some nuts to the game...
The gang is coming back to my house tonight for a fire...and we will order take out. I will probably order a grilled chicken salad.
Hope everyone's weekend is fine...someone find the sun for me ok? Oh..the compliments I recieved this morning were fantastic. I lost another pound too...whicn brings me up to 40 total. Wow its melting off this week...I shouldn't get used to it..but I deserve it!

I am having a crazy food day today because I need to go grocery shopping. I had a shake for breakfast, a bar for a snack. I will have left over salad with chicken for lunc and a carb countdown smoothie for snack.
Dinner will be about 4oz of center cut pork chops.
My husband and I are just having a lazy day today just hanging out.
Congratulations on your success with weight loss surgery. Sounds like you're doing great. Any updated pics?

Lazy days are the best! I am planning one for tomorrow...since I am ahead on laundry and cleaning. My digital camera is broken so I will ask my friend to take a picture of me tonight! We just got back from the football game..my daughter is lovin' her first year as a youth football cheerleader! We are heading down the street for some takeout...grilled chicken salad for me...and a fire while we watch whatever sports game is on tonight. Oh...explain Carb Countdown Smoothie please!!

Sounds like a really fun neighborhood. I grew up in North Haven and my parents, brother & sisters (One sister still goes to NHHS) all still live there. WOW another pound. You are doing awesome. Sounds like great food choices. I have not ate much yet as I slept LATE this morning. I did not get up until noon. My DH got up early with my 4 year old.

I am not sure what I will eat for the rest of the day. Grilled chicken salad sounds yummy!!! I am down 33 pounds as of today.

As of today, I am down 29.2 lbs. I hope I can make Dr. Bell's goal of 35 lbs by the time I go to him in a couple of weeks!
Chryssie, you are doing great! And so are you Joanie. Where do I find these smoothies? I am at such a loss for protein drinks that I can tolerate. I even ordered of of obesityhelp.com and yuck the fuzzy naval was awful....afraid to try to rest!

I ordered the fuzzy navel (sample) everyone has been raving about and I, too, thought it was awful! I am using the carb countdown milk...mixed with the SF coffee syrup (Vitaladay) or the choc carb counddown cut with the skimmed kind. It keeps the calories down and I can get up to 18 g per serving. Also I love the Q-bars and carbwell bars..which are about 10 g...and a great snack! And when I do use my instant breakfast...I add GNC designer whey protein, I can tolerate just a half a scoop..but I used the carb countdown milk in that too.

I get the CarbCountdown yogurt smoothies by Hood at Stop & Shop in East Haven. They are in with the regular yogurts. They have about 12g of protein in 10oz. I liked the Fuzzy Navel powder. I REALLY like Zero Carb Vanilla Isopure. It has 25g of protein per scoop. I put 1 scoop of no sugar added Nestle chocolate powder in with 8oz of CarbCoundown milk and shake. 37g of protein. If it was not for these shakes I would be in big trouble!!!
JA you are doing awesome on the weight loss!!! When do you go see Dr.B? I go Sept.24 at 3PM.

Okay, I am actually on the correct day here......
Breakfast- 6 oz of Proplete Gold Vanilla Pineapple protein drink
3 small pieces of pre- cooked bacon
Snack- none
Lunch- Salad with lettuce, grape tomatos, onions, fat free cheddar cheese, baby shrimp, pumpkin seeds, bacon bits and Marie's Ranch Dressing. Also had a handful of Q-smart cheddar cheese thingies... not sure what they would be.
Snack- trail mix (cajun flavoed) and some mixed nuts. NO raisins
Dinner- left off butterfly shrimp from last night (only had 2 small shrimp in the amt I took tonight) and 3 bbq ribs (chinese)
Don't know about snack or not tonight. Haven't had time to get much fluid in but have at least my 64 oz. Hope to get another 32 in at least tonight.

Not a very exciting food day but this is it anyway.
b - 3/4 c total protein cereal w/ 1/2 c 1% milk
l - 2 1/2 oz lf cheddar cheese, 8 sm carrots & 8 sm pcs cantalope
(my orange lunch)
s - protein bar
d - didn't feel like cooking so had a half of a sandwich w/ 2 oz ham &
1 oz cheese w/lf mayo
s - nuts (got to loose those nuts )
little lacking on fluids today, I think cause I drank so much yesterday.
