Chryssie, You are doing a great job! How are you feeling? I just want to share something I was told. Taking more than 30 g of protein at one meal is a waste, because your body cannot absorbed any more than that. I sometimes make a high protein drink and space it out to drink the entire morning, which I am thinking is ok. What has everyone else heard about this?? I am interested. Joanie

Yes I have heard the same however I figure it is only 7 grams over. It is really the only protein drink I like and and I am getting in plenty of protein throught out the rest of the day while still keeping my calories in a good range. I ran all this by my nutritionalist who specializes in WLS and she was fine with it. Chryssie

Joanie: No worries!!! I did not take it that way. I just happened to verify my protein intake with the nutritionalist on Friday. If she is happy then so am I. Now if the scale would MOVE faster I would be really happy. LOL Chryssie

I have found going over 60 g of protein and while keeping the calories and fat down have speeded my weight loss up this week. Not sure it will continue..but I will keep going with what I am doing and see if I can prove my theory. Slim pickings on the CT board..people seem to have lives this holiday weekend. LOL Joanie

Joanie, Just wanted to chime in, that I read protein after mixing breaks down in as little as 30 minutes( even refrigerated) Just thought you might want to keep it in mind. It's one of my concerns getting ready for surgery that I won't be able to drink that much and will have all this drink protein drink left over. Any thoughts anyone?? Robin
