Well...since I feel poo-pie today (getting my period...whoopie -insert scowl here) I don't think I'm going to be all that excited about eating today.
It's going to be a battle to get in the liquids and a little protein.
Do you guys have any ideas for some bland stuff I can force in, even though I'm nauseaus?
Hi Lisa,
Boy - I'm not like you at all. I can't stop eating when its that time of the month.
For nausea I'd try some hot chammomile tea (sp?) - it will help with the nausea and help to get in some liquid. I'd add some Pro-Stat 64 to it for protein, but if you don't have that, I don't know what else you can do - bland and protein don't really go together
Maybe after a few cups of tea, you'll feel like eating something
Hope you feel better soon.
God Bless,
Kathy Bilodeau

Not a good day so far - I went way off track.
Breakfast
- 1 cup low fat cottage cheese with pineapple & cherries
- 1 medium banana
Snack
- 1 cup s/f jello ambrosia
- 1 oz cheese doodles (very bad, I know)
Lunch
- Blimpie's Buffalo Chicken Sandwich on low-carb bread with provolone, lettuce and tomato
- Blimpie's low-carb brownie (0 net effect carbs, 150 cals, and yummy)
I'm skipping the afternoon snack since I ate so much already
Dinner
- Salad with 3 oz grilled chicken, 1 hard boiled egg, lettuce, tomato, cukes, bacon and light creamy dressing.
Hope I do better the rest of the day, and the rest of the weekend.
God Bless,
Kathy Bilodeau

Hi Joanie,
I know I am late but actually yesterday was a pretty good eating day for me and I was trying an experiment. I know I have mentioned that my blood sugar has been hanging in the 140's with or with out my taking glucophage. Well yesterday (Friday) I did not eat any raisins or dried cranberries either of which I have been have in my trail mix. Now mind you I eat less than a 1/4 cup during the course of a day but........So this morning my sugar was 120. Hmmmm......guess I am off the raisins for good. Well here was my menu for yesterday.
Breakfast- The usual, 1/2 cup low fat cottage cheese with 1 spoonful of sour cream and lots of garlic salt. 3 small pieces of pre-cooked bacon.
Snack- none
Lunch- Salad- 3oz of deli ham, lettuce, tomato, fat free cheese, bacon bits, pumpkin seeds and marie's ranch dressing
snack- 1/2 oz of pumpkin seeds in shell
Dinner- 5-6 oz of beef with spinach and mozzeralla cheese ( pre rolled at stop and shop), 4 ox of lite mussleman's mango sauce
snack- endulge choc. mint wafers
I think I had close to 120 oz today of water and crystal light iced tea.
Linda
