Ohhhhhh..........poor baby!!! That stinks, however better to be safe than sorry. I was worried that you were still going to go and would get caught in that mess of a storm. I was talking to someone last night also going to Jamaica but on Saturday. He thinks he is still going but I don't know about that. Anyway you can still have a fine birthday here. Well not as fine as a spa in the sun but still......... I have heard that you can go to the spa at Mohegan Sun for like $20 a day to relax and have fun. Of course as with any other spa all the specialized services are seperate but from what I understand there is a great pool, exercise room and lots of relaxing areas. Might be something to check out. Give me a call if you get a chance (home or cell). Maybe we can hook up this weekend. Have a Happy Happy Birthday though. This is the start of a brand new life for you!!! Linda

Hi JA I'm sorry about the change in your plans. I too, love Jamaica. My husband and I do missionary work there and have been all over the island (mainly the mountains) - stay with the people, etc. However, if this storm hits them, you will be very, very glad you are here in CT. The hospitals are very, very outdated, most of the island loses electricity on a regular basis - so you can be sure it would be a problem in the storm. Water would be an issue and the roads - the lovely Jamaican roads. I really hope something will work out for you, and I hope the storm misses Jamaica.
