Holiday Weekend Roll Call

Greetings! It's me the one who is supposed to be going to Jamaica at 6am tomorrow...holding breath because of the $%*($ hurricane!!!!! I won't know anything until after 12 noon when the travel agent gets in! UGH! Anyway, Sat. is my b'day, so I was planning to go to Jamaica, and if that doesn't work out, I'll punt Maybe go to the casino. Anyone interested???? On the weight loss front, I am snailing along...down about 25-26 lbs depending on when I weigh myself! I am having problems getting all my water in....am getting some protein in but I don't think I'm getting enough of that in either....I've had a couple of episodes of vomiting, but I know it was because I ate too quickly! So I'm slowing down, and trying to do the best I can. And the hairloss has begun, which is not fun...so other than that...I'm hangin' in. Happy Holiday to all! JA

First of all, happy early birthday!!! I hope your flight will be able to make it through. I can't imagine how stressed you are about this. Worse comes to worst, the weather here is supposed to be gorgeous -- find a beach and stay there (the cabana boys bearing fruit might be a bit harder to arrange, but ...) In the beginning I had vomiting episodes when I ate too fast. Now I have them occasionally, when I eat something that's crap. So it does get better, as long as you don't overeat like I have!! I'll be keeping my fingers crossed for you, mon!! XO Kathy F.

Hi everybody! I love this roll call thingie by the way! Great idea! This weekend we are going LOTS of yard work on Saturday. I was walking the kids to the bus stop yesterday and realized how gross our lawn looked. So, I told the kids if they helped me with the lawn on Saturday, I'd take them to Six Flags on Sunday. Started the process of losing the 10 pounds for my surgery. Started on Monday and it is HARD. I did really, really well so far. I need to hit the grocery store again tomorrow - getting low on veggies. ;) I meet with the dietician next Thursday and still have at least another month before the surgery date even gets scheduled, but I want to start losing the weight now before it becomes last minute and I have to scramble. Too stressful! Anyways, hope you all have a great holiday weekend!!!

Hi Linda My weekend won't be that exciting. I have a WLS surgery friend coming to stay on Saturday and Sunday. We're going karokee bowling in Norwich on Sat. night. Anyone want to join us? I am busy switching over information to a new computer. The focus of my life right now is mailing out tons of Ebay items and Mary Kay. I'm doing great with the WLS. I just got into a size 10. (I thought I would pass out right there) I lost a $5 bet to a friend who insisted it would fit to my insisting it wouldn't. I will post an updated pic soon. Hope everyone has a great weekend. Maggie

Hello Linda, Glad to see you back on the site! I figured you were busy with all the changes over the last couple of months! This weekend is always busy for us, we have two kids that make birthdays this weekend and we usually get a lot of projects done. Yard cleanup painting , etc. ; this weekend is no different! Have to start getting ready for the winter, as it will be here before we know it! Have been doing well, not loosing right now but the clothes are still getting more and more loose! the 10 are getting baggie! I had to slow down a bit, the new synthroid dosage(smaller dosage) is really catching up with me this time and my muscles are and joints are sore, so I am upping the protein and the water! Hopefully this will help, at least I am not gaining! Glad to hear most of you are doing well. I just love hearing and seeing the new looks! I have to get a pic up here!
