Hi everyone!  I was just wondering if anybody was going to the Support Group Meeting tomorrow @ the Yale Hospital from 6-8pm?  If s0o0o.... is there anything that you could tell me to prepare me for what goes on at these meetings?  Is there usually a topic? (If so, does anyone know what it is? ) I heard that the surgeons lead the meetings ... or at least attend.. see I'm not really sure what to expect and I'm a little nervous but definately excited to see what will happen.  So I'd appreciate anything that you could tell me! Thanks guys!

I'm going to the meeting. I'm over 2 months post op. The meeting tomorrow night will be my 4th. Yes there is a topic sometimes and sometimes we talk about anything that comes up. Come to the meeting w/ alot of ?'s. Dr. Bell is at most of all the meeting. Alot people show up pre and post op. The meetings are a good time. Hope to see you there.                                            -Mike-

Kait, not sure if I will be at tonight's meeting, I have had a few health issues this week and am just plain washed out...but that being said..the meetings are run by its members.  Usually there is a moderator if you will that will keep things going..all the meetings I have attended, Dr  Bell has also attended.  I made my decision to have surgery at my second meeting after meeting a couple both having the bypass.  Dr. Bell is great about answering any and all of your questions...and the group was very helpful to me!  I will most certainly be there next month to cheer you on! Hi guys!  Just wanted to see if there was an interest in the new Prospect meetings starting in April.  Laura and I are going to try and check it out.  Not that I will stop attending the New Haven meetings depending on the topic, but no charge for parking and less travel time is a plus.  Kait, it was great to meet you on Tuesday, I was sitting just across from you!  Best of luck to you on your journey.  Email anytime if you have any questions.  Mike was so helpful to me once I had gotten my date.....I am sure I called him several times wanting to know EXACTLY what was going to be happening on surgery day and recovery time!  Thanks Mike!
