Wednesday--what are we eating?

Hi Joanie So far for today it was: B-Carnation S/F Breakfast w/Skim Milk two slices of ceddar cheese. s-NOTHING L-Wendys chili w/plain jr burger s-nothing yet Dinner-london broil with onions. s-don't know yet. Trying to get the water in today. Where is the day going. Luis

ok here we go.. bfst - 1/2 c 1% lactate milk with 1/2 c cheerios snack - dd decaf coffee lunch - 3 cheese ravioli with meatsauce (homemade) 1 c watermelon 1/2c sugar free j e l l o snack ? dinner? can't seem to get all my water/crystal light in though...not enough time in the day!

Here is what I have had: B-1 egg scrambled with cheese S-2 thin slices of american cheese L-protein shake with carbcountdown milk D-1oz chicken with Frank's hot sauce and a 1oz Q-smart snack bar S- probibly another shake I am slowly able to increase my fluid intake. I am at about 48oz not including fluids mixed into protein shakes. I KNOW I have to work up to a min. of 64oz. Chryssie

Question...Why can't we count our protein shakes towards are liquid?? I have been doing this...since the beginning..am I wrong? Joanie

I guess it depends on your surgeon. But, I always count my protein shakes towards my liquid. Kathy Bilodeau Lap RNY 12/3/03 -98 lbs.

Joanie: I do count my protein shakes as liquids but since I take in so little fluids other than that I keep track of them separate. I need to work up to at least 64 oz. I am lucky if I get in 24-48oz. Chryssie

Chryssie, I still have a problem with getting fluids in 2 months post op. I think counting the protein drink is correct for me. I have actually gone to Carb Countdown choc milk mixed with half skimmed milk...so that gives me 16 g of protein. I am noticing the scale moving faster going over the 60g of protein. The problem is keeping low fat and low calories... Joanie

Hi Joanie, Well I am not happy with my eating today.....not that I ate anything bad, just alot but here goes......... Breakfast- The usual- 1/2 cup 1% cottage cheese with spoonful of sour cream and garlic salt. 3 pieces of pre-cooked bacon Snack- 1/2 cup of home made trail mix Lunch- 2 slices of 2% swiss cheese, 4 oz of deli select ham, 1/2 bag of atkins crunchers snack- 1/2 cup of cajun flavored trail mix, 1 sugar free russell stover's sugar free milk choc. candy Dinner- 4 oz of Mussleman's light Mango Sauce, 3/4 cup of pork stir fry made with onions, mushrooms and water chestnuts Snack- bowl of popcorn (1/3 cup unpopped) made with veg oil. 1 serving of Endulge Mint Wafers 1/2 cup of Global Village Nut Mix I have already had 138 oz of fluids and still drinking. Got to stop these snacks!!!!!!!!! Linda
