Son Broke wrist
Hi Anne
Thanks so much. He can't wait to get on the school bus. That is what he has been talking about all summer. Now he has a bummed arm. Hopefully the coloring won't be that hard. Gotta take a refresher course thou. LOL. My oldest just started his freshman yr in high school and the other day we had to buy him this $110 calculator. What kind of crap is this, we didn't use calculators when I was in school. That was considered cheating. When I saw this thing, I wished him luck and said you better take good notes in this class or ask your mother. LOL.
Thanks again.

Oh geez!!! Well, the silver lining for him is he gets to go to school with a cool story & all the kids wanting to sign his new cast -- opportunities to meet friends quickly! The bad news is, oh boy, it does make things difficult. I was trying to figure out how you could have 4 schools, but the pre-K thing makes it all clear. You guys really do have a full plate!
Hope the little guy isn't too miserable (same for his parents!) and he recovers quickly.
Hang in there!!

Hi Tara
Yes, he is bummed. He had a bad nights sleep again last night. He could not get comfortable. Today he has to go to kindergarden orientation for an hour and then the Mrs has to take him to the Orth to get a hard cast put on. Hard to tell a 5 yr old to keep his arm still. Lets see how it works out.

Oh, how sad . I'd be beside myself if one of my little guys broke his wrist. I can certainly understand how you must feel - but kids adjust very very quickly, so I'm sure he will be the "star" of kindergarten tomorrow.
I sent mine off for his first day of kindergarten today - he was sooo excited.
I'll be praying for less chaos.
God Bless,

Hi Kathy
I do hope he adjusts quickly. There is no time in the household not too. Too much action and the calander is full. No time for injuries. LOL. He goes today for a meet and greet for an hour, then off to the Ortho for a hard cast. Any tears for yours starting today. I know in our house,(with 4 kids) everytime one starts Kindergarten, the cameras and tissues are out. I don't know if you remember the Staples commercial where the father is jumping all around Staples pushing a cart and singing, "Its the most wonderfull time of the year" and the kids are trailing behind him with pouts on their faces. We have been singing this song for two weeks at our house already. Love Septembers.

Oh my go****hat's one of our all-time favorite commercials. Someone very ingenious thought that one up! I also like the one where the son is leaving for college, the mom is not saying goodbye when he leaves, dad says she is upstairs getting used to his being gone - fact is, she's measuring his room to see where the hot tub will go!
No tears today - Nicholas went to 1/2 day pre-K last year, so we were both familiar with the drill. But, I had the camera ready for sure, and there were lots of emotions going strong this morning - excitement, nervousness, etc. His little brother missed him terribly though.
Looking forward to meeting you at the dinner on the 11th.
God Bless,
