Bones

Hello Everyone, Last night while lying in bed I started thinking about all these new bones my body has suddenly grown. I am amazed that I am losing weight when I suddenly have bones I never know existed (except in a text book somewhere). Now if I remember my human anatomy I was under the impression that bones are denser and weigh more than fat. So how come all of a sudden I have a sternum, pointy wrist bones, knees and a painful tail bone and I am still losing weight???? I am constantly amazed at the daily differences I experience. While I have been experiencing a slow down (not quite a plateau yet) I know that is normal and I am not stressing too much about that. I am taking comfort in all the changes that have and continue to happen in a relatively short period of time. Hmmm...........I guess the saying nothing tastes as good as thin has definite merit Linda

Linda, I was thinking about all my bones last week ! My gosh I have a lot of them . I have the same issue with my tail bone, boy does it hurt when I sit too long or move a certain way. Sometimes I wish I had a padded butt It is amazing to think that last year I had no visible bones and no "butt" issues!! Have a great day!!! Carmen -105lbs

Oh My God, Linda, that is so true. Isn't that so exciting. To actually feel bones, I never thought I had so many. What is truly amazing are the neck, shoulder, arms and wrists. They seem to stick out so much. What happened to the cushion in the rear. Can't sit for long periods of time. Incredible this surgery is. You said it right, "amazing the daily differences we experience". It is unbelievable. Definitly don't stress over the slow down. Keep on track and all will be fine. Keep us posted. Luis

Not only am I enjoying my rediscovered bones-I am especially enjoying the fact that I can roll over in bed now without it being a major production! I can even lift my hip off the bed as I roll over! I used to disturb my partner, the two dogs and two cats every time I rolled over-now they don't even know I'm doing it! Ann 9 weeks out-45lbs gone!

Linda, That must be so exciting. I can't wait to rediscover the real me under all this padding! I forgot I had a neck! Just with the little loss I have had so far I am starting to reclaim my neck and I am elated!

Oooh, the painful tailbone! I can't even sit on my comfy couch for too long any more (too long being 1/2 hour or more)! Enjoy your new body! God Bless, Kathy Bilodeau
