Hello everyone. Been lurking forever but came out of the woodwork. Surgery date is 10-6-2004. Can't wait, but feeling overwhelmed. Got some shakes, vitamins, books...have husband in training. Sooo much to do it seems.

Thanx everyone! I've been at this for 3 years now..just couldn't make up my mind. I finally went full steam ahead in January and I could've had my surgery this week! But I decided on October so I could hibernate while melting. Lost my brother and my mom in the last 5 months, and they both wanted me to have this done. So I decided to register here because I no longer can call my mom for support. My hubby's great, but there's nothing like a female point of view! So thanx...I knew you folks would be friendly. I'm originally from Rhode Island; a city girl who married a redneck. It's been quite an adjustment, but I love it here! The people are great and the state is beautiful.

Hi Suzq, Welcome to the Ct Boards. I spent a lot of time on the boards pre-op. I learned so much about what to expect. I was so excited everytime I read about someone's dramatic weight loss. I also felt comfoted about things that I was feeling and other people felt the same way. It's great how no matter what it is someone can help! Good luck to you on your Journey! Sandy
