I just wanted to know, does anyone use the liquid vitamins and minerals instead of the pill form. A long time ago I did a 40 days fast for church and I used this stuff from new vision called liquid minerals. You drank only 2oz of it a day and it was fantastic stuff. do any of you use that kind of stuff instead of the pills. I know that we have to get a lot of protein in us in the beginning. is there a liquid protein that is really good thats very high in protein that we dont have to take a ton of it to get what we need? You all know more than I thanks

Hi Lauren, I used chewables in the early post op stages. Now I am a big girl and able to swallow bigger pills lol... The liquid form sounds great. I would just run it by your surgeon. Liquids are so much easier to digest. I drink the Atkins protein shakes. I find them to taste the *******so use the flavored syrups by DiVincci ( www.vitalady.com), this give me a good variety of flavor. My favorites are belgian chocolate, peanut butter and english toffee. Oh, they are sugar free as well as taste great. Maggie

Lauren, The only thing I can talk about is the vitamins, some of the post-ops will have to let you know about proteins. I have done a great deal of research on vitamins. I was told I would have to inject B12 because B12 does not absorbed as well as in pill form. But no one talks about other vitamins. I was told to take Flinstones vitamins and then some kind of calcium. I just don't think this makes sense, so I have been researching better vitamins to be absorbed better. I have a friend who takes liquid vitamins, but I don't know where she gets them. I am still researching what kind I want to take, but I will probably go with some kind of liquid multivitamin. I don't know what the others do.

Hi Lauren: I take liquid calcium citrate. by "lifetime". comes in different flavors and I put mine in some plain yogurt. LifeTime / Nutritional Specialties, Inc. Anaheim, CA I paid $8.79 for 16 FL oz. Got it at Mrs. Greens in Fairfield CT. I get 600 mg calcium, 300 mg magnesium, 400 IU Vit D with each tablespoon I take (once daily). You might want to see if there is a healthfood store in your area that would carry it. Good luck. Towands
