What a difference........
a day makes!!!!
Thanks to all for your support. It really meant a lot to me at a time I was feeling my absolute worst.
I was able to get a lot of rest and quiet this weekend and it's really helped. I feel like I have turned the corner and am definately feeling more positive about the surgery.
Saturday night/Sunday Morning my headache went away and that made a huge difference. It seems like when you have a headache nothing is right. Especially when you have a six, four and three year old running around!
I took off my bandages today and have felt a tiny bit more incisional pain since doing so but the doctors office reccommended it. I am sure it's just a thing where I need to adapt again.
My fluids have been much better over the weekend. I averaged around 60 oz a day so I am thrilled about that. I noticed since my headache went away I am a little more hungry than I was. I can eat a whole yogurt at a go now instead of half. I was expecting that though. I was bit surprised to feel SO restricted after having the lap-band. I wasn't upset though. I was kind of releived. I guess I will just have to wait a few more weeks for my fill.
My youngest daughter (3) is having a hard time with the surgery. She is afraid to come near me very much because of the incisions. While my four year old would still like to use my belly as a trampoline! My oldest (six years old) just wants life to get back to normal!
He said the funniest thing when I came home from the hospital (at least I think it's hilarious, lol). I came home late Thursday after he was sleeping and he hadn't seen me in the hospital. He comes in my room Friday morning when he woke up and said the following, " Guess the surgery was for nothing cause mom's still big" I guess he was expecting me to come home like Lara Flynn Boyle, lol.
Well, I hope all is well with everyone and thanks again for all your encouragement!
Hi Eileen,
Wow I am so glad to hear that you are feeling better! I was worried. I can't imagine doing this surgery with 3 young kids! God Bless You! I think that is so funny what your son said!! My kids are 13 and 15 so they don't need much anymore and they were very helpful to me. My husband does all the running and the kids, especially my daughter, were around to make sure I had everything I needed. Talk to you soon
Sandy
...Out of the mouth of babes...
Eileen, I'm so happy your feeling better! It's funny, one day you're thinking "What did I do to myself??" and the next day you'll turn the corner and understand what you did, and oh so happy you did it!
Remember, every day gets a little bit better...
Lara Flynn Boyle...ugh. Is she the chickie who wore that Ballerina costume to an awards show??
Much love,
-Deb
Your post about what your son said made me chuckle, and I remembered what my son had said about me.
He went to church on Wednesday night with my husband and told everyone I was in the hospital, and when I get home I will be skinny!
No one knew the type of surgery I was having, but they figured it out then!
Out of the mouths of babes.....
He now asks me if I'm skinny yet........
Got to love them.
God Bless,
