Anxiously waiting
The waiting is the worst part. I want the surgery and have to wait so long to get to see the surgeon and then hope that my insurance will cover it. So, I joined this board to make the time go quicker. Nice to meet all of you. I've been reading the posts and there's alot of great success stories out there and some fantastic support. I'm glad to become a part of it.

Hi Kathy,
Such a small world, ha? I've had testing with my PCP - stress, pulmonary, bloodwork, and am waiting on the sleep apnea test date. So far, not too bad. I have diabetes and obstructed airways, but stress test was good. I always thought it was just the weight that made me out of breath when I walked a flight of stairs - the breathing problem is just another thing I hope goes away after this surgery - right along with my dailys meds for diabetes. My appt with Dr. Aranow is on 9/17. Hopefully everything will fall into place after that...

Hi Wendy,
Nice to meet you. I hope the time goes by quickly for you. It is a long process, but I think it is a great opportunity to learn as much as you can and to really think about what changes you will go through so you will be very prepared for life after surgery. This board is a great place to get support.
