wan t to share this
Hi Kathy,
Remember, your taste buds will change after surgery so don't buy too much of any protein drink...it might not be worth it. Also, that fat content seems pretty high, but it's been so long since I've had a protein drink (I hated each and every one I tried) that I really don't remember the specifics.
I suggest buying some samples online and save them for after surgery, then when you find what you like then buy the regular sized container.
Protein drinks...man, I'm glad those days are behind me!
Hope to see you soon!

Yup, another vacation! That one was to Lake Hinckley, 30 minutes north of Utica. The weather was clowdy just about every day, but it was still nice, relaxing. It's good to be home! This weekend we're going away AGAIN to Newport...then the weekend after that NH to visit my family.
I'm looking forward to a weekend home where I can plant myself in front of the TV, or read for the entire weekend!
HEY! Back on the subject of Protein, I have two unopened cans of Beneprotein, the flovorless protein powder you can add to anything, and if you want them their yours. I'll save them for you for the next time I go to a support group meeting, or I can mail them to you...
Hi Kathy and Others,
I just joined the boards yesterday, and wanted to share this information with you (I'm pre-op).
You can call a company called SI03 and ask them to send you free samples of their protein powder. Their telephone number is 1-866-333-7403. I did this today and plan to try them following surgery. After deciding which ones I like, I will then order them.
One other tip, although you can find their brand (Syntrax) at nutrition stores and online, it is almost 1/2 price at this phone number because they are the manufacturer and will be happy to sell it to you.
Also, I've heard the Apple Ecstacy and other fruit flavors are good.
Hope this helps.
