I have noticed quite a few of you add protein bars to your day. Which ones are good? I have seen lots..but they seem high in fat or carbs...I bought one yesterday which was lower fat/carbs..but turned out to be only gms of protein. Any suggestions??? Joanie

EAS Carb Control...they're available in a variety of flavors...and relatively inexpensive. They generally have at least 13 grams of protein for a 2 ounce bar...some have much more. They are low in sugar and carbs. You can get them at Walmart the cheapest. They are my bar of choice...give one a try, you never know- you might like them. A good trick- don't set yourself up for the expectation that they're going to taste like candy bars...you'll just be disappointed in any bar you try. Enjoy! Lisa C

I use the Atkins bars, but they are expensive. I think I'll check out the EAS bars. I carry one with me when I know I'm going to be out for awhile and I may not have a good source of protein available.

I just discovered QSmart bars form quaker, and they taste more like granola bars than protein bars. I couldn't tolerate most of the other protein bars, but these have 10 grams of protein and 3 net carbs. They're about $3.50 for a box of 5 too!

Are they sold in grocery stores? Funny you mention them...because a girl at work told me about them..she buys them bulk at Sam's. So I took a trip to BJs...(don't belong to Sams)..and they didn't have them. Thanks for validating them tho! Let me know where to buy them. Joanie

Joanie I've been buying them at stop and shop, but I know Target carries them too, and a little cheaper. I know walmart doesn't have them yet, but you're probably safe at any grocery store. At stop and shop they are with the granola and breakfast bars. Good luck, I hope you like them!

I EAT THE SMALL DETOUR AND ONE WAY BARS SOLD AT STOP AND SHOP - THEY ARE 14 CARBS, 15 GRAMS PROTEIN, 6 GRAMS FAT - THEY SEEM TO BE THE ONLY ONES I CAN EAT - I ONLY EAT THEM WHEN I AM IN THE CAR AND CAN'T DO ANYTHING ELSE - I KEEP THEM IN THERE
