Joanie, That's great that you can get in that much protein. The Dr.'s tell you get a minimum of 60 grams in but you can go all the up to 120 or so. I do not believe there would be any problems with consuming that much protein. I know I'm early in the game but I figured I'd share. B - 1 scrambled egg 6 g. Prot. L - 6 oz. Protein Shake (1/2 of a Real meal Pouch, didnt like the chocolate) 30 G. Prot. S - Fruit 2 O Ice (Counts as 6 ozs fluid I believe) D - 2 oz. Chicken salad ( which is just some canned tuna with a little bit of mayo and some seasonings) 1 saltine (this wasnt good) 15 g. Prot. Also so far I have consumed approx 15 oz of sugar free Kool Aid. I have to work on my fluid intake. I will most likely have some yogurt later to get more protein in and drink drink drink the rest of the night. ~Julie~

I DIDN'T DO GOOD TODAY, NOT ENOUGH CALORIES AND TOO MANY CARBS B-PROTEIN SHAKE 35 GRAMS PROTEIN L-DETOUR BAR D-2 OZ STEAK S-8 BABY CARROTS, 4T LOW FAT SOURCREAM DECAF COFFEE W/CREAM - DECAF TEA W/SKIM MILK JOANIE, I DON'T THINK THERE IS A PROBLEM CONSUMING THAT MUCH PROTEIN THROUGHOUT THE DAY BUT I DID ASK THE NUTRITIONIST THE QUESTION ABOUT TOO MUCH PROTEIN AT ONCE BECAUSE I WAS ASKING ABOUT A PROTEIN SHAKE WITH 50 GRAMS IN IT - HER ANSWER TO ME WAS - MY BODY WOULD NOT BE ABLE TO USE 50 GRAMS AT ONCE AND THE REMAINING WOULD BE CONVERTED TO BURN AS CALORIES - I HOPE I REMEMBER THIS CORRECTLY - SHE SAID TO SPREAD IT OUT AS MUCH AS POSSIBLE DURING THE DAY OR I WAS WASTING MY MONEY ON THE SHAKES - SINCE THEN I ONLY PUT ONE SCOOP FOR 25 GRAMS OR SOMETIMES 1 1/2 SCOOPS - JUST IN CASE THAT HELPS, I THOUGHT I WOULD PUT IT OUT THERE - ONE OF THE SUPPORT GROUPS I WENT TO I REMEMBER 60 IS THE MINIMUM BUT THEY PREFER 80 - 100 GRAMS OF PROTEIN.

Hi everyone, Here is what I had today. B: 1 egg, 1 sausage link, 3 bites of a wheat bagel S: 11oz protein shake L; I skipped today, got busy cleaning and forgot D: 2 ozs. pork roast, 2 tsp. mashed potatoes, 2 tsp. peas/carrots S; 1/4 cup popcorn Not my healthiest day for food. Last night I ended up buying a chicken caesar salad at Burger King and ate about a quarter cup. I get cleaning and I just don't want to eat. So, anyway today I cooked what I was going to last night. This was also my first time trying popcorn, it was okay, but now I am really thirsty. I am not going to make a habit of eating it. Tomorrow is our party and I am cooking lots of food, but healthier stuff so I will eat better. (I hope). Anne
