Left Back Pain

I have been getting left back pain after I eat sometimes. Tonight, I didn't have it immediately after I ate..but took my 2mile walk..and I am feeling it. Its not a sharp pain...but an ache...and it never lasts for more than 15 or 20 min. Gas?? Any clues? Joanie

I would contact your MD asap. Is is lower back pain? It could be gas, but you want to make sure its not a kidney stone. Kidney stones can sometimes come on with gradual dull, ache time pain in various area of your back, specifically in your lower back, last a short time. They however can suddenly become acute and extremely painful.

I am an u/s tech and scan people with kidney stones frequently and the pain is not that intense...and up pretty high. It comes and goes too...which makes renal stones less likely. I can definitely relate it to eating... You are right tho..I should contact my surgeon and I will tomorrow..Thanks Joanie

Joanie, Definitely check with your doctor but I do have to tell you it took me quite awhile to figure out that my stomach was not where I thought it should be........ I was have some aches etc as you described and then eventually realized it was my stomach down alot lower than I figured. Just a suggestion..... Linda

Hey Joanie, I get the same dull ache, and I think it's gas in my case. But as everyone else suggested, you should call your doc. JA
