A question about doctors/hospitals/..newbie stuff.

I was just on my insurance website and the hospital that's covered and close is Middlesex Hospital.  -Jonathan Aranow -Joseph Coatti -Jonathan Blancaflor -Joseph Bardenheier Should I check into this ..these on the list.. I'm not going to my physical for about two weeks, March 3rd.. should I just wait for that.. I guess i'm not sure how to line this up and make sure I have everything in the right order. I was planning on going to the Hartford Hospital informational meeting that I saw on Lapband.com .. but now should I wait and see if there's one offered at Middlesex hospital ..or does that matter.. Thanks for reading all this stuff from the new girl in town...  : ) Kristen

Okay, ..did a little more research..and it looks like i'm going to skip the Hartford hospital meeting.. I'm going to call in the a.m to go through everything w/ Middlesex Hospital.. So now I scratch that question above..and ask.. Has anyone done the whole process through Middlesex Hospital?! : )

Don't worry about the questions. We were all the new one once. I didn't have lapband but I did use Dr, Aranow. I highly reccomend him. (or is it recommend. I can't spell but you will find that out soon enough. ) You can go to the one at HH but you will have to go to the same thing basically for Dr. A. Give Dr. A's office a call and get into the next one. They are on the second Tuesday of the month. Good luck with the process.

Hi, I too went to Dr. Aranow (for a bypass though) and can't say enough about him and Middlesex Hospital. If you decide to go with him, you'll need to call and get an appt. for the orientation.  They'll explain the whole process at that meeting.  Anyways, welcome to the Ct. board. Jen

I just got off the phone with Dr. Aranow's office and I'm all signed up for the March 18th meeting! which feels like years away.. but i'm glad that i'm signed up. then after that she said I can call and make my first appt to meet with Dr. Aranow.. Making some progress!

Although I did not use Dr. Aranow, I've heard soooo many wonderful things about him that of the list you provided I would say give Dr. Aranow a shot first...  Best of luck!!!

I forgot to tell you, all those doctors are part of Shorline surgical and only Dr. A. does WLS.

Dr. Aranow has an excellent reputation - best of luck to you!
