I'm new! : )

I'm glad to have found this board.. I feel like it will come in handy in the next couple of months. Just starting out on this whole thing..  I contacted my insurance company yesterday and they said I would be 100% covered as long as I got a letter of aproval from my doctors office and had the high number for a BMI (which I do).. So I'm going for a complete doc appt on March 3rd .. (feels so far away!) and I'm attending the meeting next Tuesday night (2/26) at Hartford Hospital.. Anyone else going? I'm ready to get this ball going.. Kristen

Welcome to the CT board!  Keep us posted on your journey.  We'll give you support and tips, if you need it.  I won't be at that meeting, since I went with a different surgeon, but you'll meet a bunch of people to help you along the way.  Good luck!

Hi Kristen, sounds like you're going to Dr. Tishler at Hartford Hospital.  Good luck with everything, although I'm sure you won't need it.

No, I don't have a surgeon yet.  I just went through the LapBand.com ..and put in my zip code and there was a calandar for local/upcoming meetings.. so I figured Hartford is only a 15min drive for me.. sounded nice/easy/close! : ) Thanks for the well wishes.. I'll be checking around here daily.. and i'll keep you guys posted.. Kristen

Hey, Kristen. If you're going to a regular support meeting, you may find it's Tuesday 19th not the 26th, unless the info on ctsurgical.com has changed. Check your schedule. Maybe I'll see you there. Is anyone else here going?
